On Friday, I realized my microphone headset was broken, and as I have a Teams meeting on Monday, I ordered a new one – with bunch of other stuff – from Verkkokauppa.com, using their "same day local courier", fetch.fi. First of all, it's actually "next evening" local courier, since I ordered after 14:00. I got a SMS notification with one hour window and a link to a tracking page. Well, the tracking page delivery estimate started stretching, until it was an hour and a half late, with the courier a few km away. I received the final "Almost there" SMS –– and suddenly the courier marked the delivery failed. (They obviously decided their day was full. There was no notification of delivery issues on their web page, or in the SMSes I received, no warning about delivery issues at any point.)
This was my first, and definitely last time, trying these local couriers here in Helsinki. It seems their customer service is on the Post Nord -level (think South Park S17E02 (https://southpark.fandom.com/wiki/Informative_Murder_Porn)).
These firms just aren't reliable enough to spend money on. If you care about when and if you get what you ordered, don't use fetch.fi!
(In comparison, I've only had good service from FedEx and DHL here.)

I wish; now I have to rely on the built-in mic on the laptop.
I also absolutely dislike phone calls and remote meetings: the lack of body language information makes me extremely uncomfortable and uncertain.
I just cannot help but wonder why these things seem to happen to me more than others. Even in restaurants, it is always my order that the waitress forgot or somehow mixes up... :scared:

BTW, it's now very late Monday evening (11PM local time), and the courier company still hasn't returned the shipment or contacted me about it.
Apparently they believe that their couriers are entitled to pick some shipments for themselves without any repercussions... I will soon have to report this as a theft to the police. What a horribly run company!

It's now been a week without hearing *anything* from the courier, fetch.fi, aka Enexus Oy. No response at all, and they haven't returned the products either. Just great same-day shipping company, eh?
It seems I have to go to the police to get my money back. Why is it always me who has to deal with these kind of shithead fraudsters?

Thank dog, the brick-and-mortar store, Verkkokauppa.com, came through and refunded me :-+ –– even though it seems they haven't gotten the merchandise back yet from the courier/shipping company!
One more reason to try and keep your local stores in business!
