When you more duplicates of all your test gear than hands to operate them. To go along with that, when you turn everything on in your lab and the lights in the rest of the house dim.

Does that seriously happen for you?
My Power Designs TP343A can singlehandedly dim the lights in the room with its inrush current. Not the whole house, but still, anyone present knows when I turn that beast on. It also sings a very satisfying 60 Hz song at the same time, and continues to hum softly the whole time it's running.
I'm sure you could "fly to the moon" on its quiescent current, but you could also fly to the moon
inside it as your spaceship, which I why I like it so much.
