   AI / Disinformation / 'harmfull' WEB sites...we've all been treated to that dynamic.  Direct partison views aside, some careful study of WEB search results reveals a disturbing level of political motivated manipulation.

   I've tried searching on various key entries, relying on autocomplete.  Sometimes, autocomplete gets 'stupid' or at least really quiet.  So, in direct relation to breaking news I've noted some search engine oddities:

   As the FBI and IRS Whistleblower scandal news has broken out, over the last 3 weeks, I've noted that any searches seemingly like the 'autocomplete' totally froze up.  Typing 'WHISTL'....NOPE, never heard of em, (search autocomplete seemed to imply).  Meanwhile, and this is significant, as you'll see in a minute,
US Whitehouse staff talked about everything other, than any Whistleblower stuff.

   Ahh, but when, finally, some sense that the whistleblower thing wasn't going to fade away (on its own) we saw Whitehouse staff and media press generally start to ramp up, a series of discrediting remarks and 'slurrs' started emerging, and, guess what:  so did the search autocomplete; revealing a seemingly long list of 'defects' in the whole whistleblower thing, coverage of every smear and character ref mentioned out there, in public.
I guess the WEB search engine 'autocomplete' WOKE UP,...or something.

   Finding similar autocomplete puesdo shenanigans around the 'Hunter' thing....bringing forth video games and references to 'deer and other animal' hunt stories.
I'm not stupid, or total fool.  (Sorry, I had to point that out, in case the search bot is reading this.)

   And when you've gone down the search results listing, couple of screens worth, you DO get a result 'Hunter Biden' article way back, like 2019, old to new order.  Heck, to to keep themselves honest they DID, finally, include some current events on the results output list, things more recent as this week.

=============================================

Now, in fairness to search engine, it does often get distracted:  New Zealand has a 'BAY FAIRE' shopping center as does San Leandro, California...I had been searching out some educational toys to purchase nearby.  Going to New Zealand, just to obtain a toy is a stretch.

   You can decipher a lot, when communicating with a crafty search engine.  Sometimes I think the projected 'dumbness' is achieved quite cleverly to indeed.

It'd be like an Engineer claiming to not know what a 'nerd' is.

I Googled for "whistleblower" & up came Wikipedia with a comprehensive list of whistleblowers dating back to 1777.

It got "boring as bat faeces" after a while, so I tried "Hunter", & got a whole bunch of information about companies, TV series titles & so on.

Being a bit more specific, I Googled for "Hunter Biden scandal" & hit the jackpot, dozens of references!

You have to realise that people who Googled "Hunter", maybe looking for the Hawker Hunter aircraft, the type of horse used in fox hunts, the Australian PR company, the Hunter region in NSW Australia, John Hunter, a former Governor of NSW, a 1980s US TV Series, a 1960s Australian TV series, and so on, would be somewhat "miffed" if subjected to a barrage of stuff about Hunter Biden.

The Internet is not a "closed garden" for US related stuff, & never was limited to political subjects.

As to "autocomplete" it's like gambling ----"sometimes you win, mostly you lose".
It is just as dumb with totally non-partisan things.
