As in circuit construction.

Hmmm ... I don't know ...

I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Yeah, that looks very fragile, Psi. Looks more like a sort of "freeform circuit art" than a prototyping method.

I'm a huge fan of dead bug prototypes. Show me another way that minimizes parasitics as easily without etching a PCB. I do them just like the photos in Linear AN47 (Jim Williams), with connectors soldered right to the board and such.

Don't know what to call it, but I like the workmanship. Nicely done.  :)

oh, i didn't make that. I just used google image search to find an example of what i meant.

I don't think it has a name. Maybe we could call it, 'Squashed bug' style

Manhattan/deadbug/airwire style has one disadvantage: when you glue the IC upside down, you cannot see the orientation marks :)

I also had quite large number of "Bzzzzt... Fook, datasheet pinout diagram is from top view, not bottom" moments.

I've always wondered, what are the implications (if any) of potting an aluminium electrolytic capacitor in epoxy?
