Adding PSpice files to a part
« on: April 26, 2018, 12:08:07 pm »
I am trying to attach Spice models to parts I design. I am going round in circles. All documentation I have found seems to be for older versions of AD and what I have tried to follow does not work

To attach a model, it should be the same as attaching a footprint:

In the SCH Library panel, double-click on your part. Click "Add..." button on the bottom. Select Simulation.

After that, never done it, but the tutorials from older Altium versions should guide toward the right direction.
I personnaly never used Altium for spice simulations. I much prefer LTSpice... maybe because of my masochistic tendencies.

no it's not that simple. it is a nightmare that starts with changing file extensions because altium say so instead of altium just working with the industry formats it claims to. then you have more options than you can shake a stick at none of which seem to work for pointing to models. Resistors and ather passives are easy as you can just fill in the values.
