Title: CS schematic symbol standars
Post by: Kremmen on March 04, 2019, 08:37:47 am
Is there a way to select what drawing standard should be applied to schematic symbols in CS? My preference, actually a requirement is to use IEC symbols only. Haven't done a study on the subject but the few libraries i have looked into are all IEEE zigzag resistors and shovel head logic.
Am i doomed to draw all my own components because if so, that seriously handicaps CS for me...

The pre-installed local libraries are of little use.
Have a look in the vault, if what you need isn't there then you'll need to create them yourself.

TBH whatever ECAD package I've used, I've always drawn my own symbols/footprints.
Being gifted a library that has everything you need, ready to drop on a schematic doesn't happen in the real world.

Yes, done the same thing with Diptrace, my tool of choice. I knew it was a long shot but no harm in checking.
