How to setup and run simulations
« on: December 01, 2016, 08:45:28 pm »
So I have just purchased circuit studio and aside from the terrible documentation I'm pretty pleased so far.  I am still having problems figuring out how to link components from the altium vault to a simulation model.  I would have thought that components from the vault would already have a simulation model linked.

Am I missing something here?  Also does anyone have any suggestions about where I can find simulation models for parts?

Most parts do not have models, no.

Most manufacturers do not provide highly compatible models, or for that matter, models that are usable at all outside of proprietary software.  So it doesn't really matter, I suppose.

This is one thing that Altium did well with its included libraries, there were enough models linked to make it quick to get simulations running.
