Pin type for MISO on slave device in CS?
« on: June 08, 2019, 07:54:13 am »
Hi guys,

What value should be assigned to the 'Electrical type' property for a MISO like pin on an SPI Slave device? It will generally connect directly to I/O type pins on a processor/FPGA. Per the default ERC rules, making it an output would cause a warning. It's a tristate really, out of the options available output fits best.

Thanks,

David

For pins that are not obviously power, input or output, I use passive.
I'm not saying that's the best answer though!
