Title: Renaming components in rooms to flat?
Post by: daqq on December 22, 2020, 08:44:30 pm
Hi guys,

I'm finishing up a multichannel project. Is there any way to create a simple, flat numbering? Currently I have, say, 4 channels, each of them has C5, each of the Sheets is named CC - CC1, CC2, CC3 and CC3. The generated designator is then C5_CC1, C5_CC2, C5_CC3 and C5_CC4.

Is there any way to flatten this? It looks weird in the BOM and is too long. Ideally I'd have C5, C6, C7 and C8.

I tried looking through the Project Options -> Multichannel, but found nothing of the sort. Is there any way to do this? What do you use?

Thanks,

David

I'd probably export to excel, then use string and logical functions to parse.  Since you presumably have identical sheet content, each statement would offset into all four items and place them on that line.

Hopefully someone has a built in solution  :)
