Set power and ground on new component?
« on: March 05, 2017, 05:48:31 pm »
Just checking if i understand correctly.

When you create a component and add a pins, you can press tab (or double click the pin) to change it properties. At this point I assign  GND and VCC both to the power (electrical type) pin.  Is that the correct way of doing it?

Thanks!

Y'mean electrical type?  Yes.

If it's a digital component, the other pins can be assigned input, output, etc. as well.

Analog pins should usually be set passive.  Pin type checking (part of ERC) is really only meaningful in digital circuits.  Passive is the default "doesn't matter" type.
