Lord have mercy on me I'm a sinner... well a WINNER!!!! two times!!!!

No way... even that:

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/contests/giveaway-altium-circuitstudio-licenses/msg1067762/#msg1067762

Anyway CS is more than enough for me right now... AD17 in my hands would have been just not right... there are so many people here who have much more EE talent than me...

Not pissed, just surprised...

Here my two wins for who didn't follow...

The first CS @16m6s

What would you feel about a winner; 1) reselling the license, or 2) giving it away to someone else?

That is a good attitude and I have to admit I would have felt the same way! I am glad, I was thinking and wondering if you were hoping for it. And I'm just a spectator geez. hehe

Congrats to all those who won!  :-+

zucca, I have to admit I thought Dave should have awarded you the AD17 win and then redone the single CS win for someone else instead, purely because of the insane odds.

But I also have to say, I did not even enter for the AD17 because it is clearly of value to someone who could justify it in their business and that is not me. I am happy with RS DesignSpark and struggling KiCAD for now.

Perhaps I'm an idiot - I assumed these licenses are awarded to individuals and can't be sold so no market for them?  :-// ah well.

I agree that zucca should have been awarded the best price he won, not necessarily the first. I also declined to enter the contest because there are too many who would have more benefit from it than I.

You can't sell licenses IIRC.

Quote
, or 2) giving it away to someone else?

Nothing stopping you from giving someone your login credentials I guess, but I'm fairly sure licenses can't be transferred to a new owner.

I don't really want to discourage Dave from holding competitions by creating a headache inducing shitstorm in a teacup.

You're doing it right now.

It all worked out though, the more contests and chances to win the better. No contest is perfect.   :-+

Well, since Dave talked about someone taking a crack at "New Wobolator"... and I had nothing else to do this Sunday...
Here you go the "AnotherWabolator"!

Maybe it helps.

Cheers Dave, I've now got the email. It was initially rejected because I had SORBS blacklisting and they seem to hate gmail for some reason (I had this issue once before). I have now removed SORBS as a blacklist as from all accounts they are worse than Norton AV for false positives when it comes to mail servers.

I will now wait for Altium to contact me.

Well, I'll be damned. I had the same idea, and also spent part of my weekend working on an improved Wobulator! ;D Except, I decided to send Dave a message about it first rather than just plonk the code on the forum. Dave just got back to me, only to point me at your effort...

I suppose I might as well post my efforts here as well, complete with source, and Dave can judge for himself which (if either) is worth using. :box:

I'll have to put links to my GDrive, as I can't attach the source code zip here because it's too large (because of the size of a library I'm using):

Executable: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0UdqT4aruHCcmY2VWJRYTV1dkk/view?usp=sharing

Hehe, no need to turn this into a contest by itself!  ;D

I did not think that Dave would use it, but since i was having a slow weekend and the stream video was "so long" i thought... ahh what the well, let me do something about it ;D
