Recently got a marketing email from a distributor. The thing that caught my eye was a major giveaway from Keysight. Lots of gear and software:

The rules are interesting, but it does have much wider applicability then most contests which are usually just one country.
I edited the original post to be clearer on what can be won.

I don't know about other countries, but in the U.S. individuals are always responsible for paying income tax on winnings. The only known exception to me is when you win via a non-profit, the non-profit can also award special designated cash to cover the winnings. In other words, the tax man always gets his cut.

State laws against lotteries, as they ban lotteries other than the official state sponsored ones. Other states ban all lotteries, and others ban Games of Chance.

Can enter in non-Quebec provinces, or can enter in Quebec only? Because most contests say people in Quebec are ineligible (due to its different laws), but you seem to be saying the exact opposite.

That's what I read it as. Just found it on the entry page also but you are correct valid in Canada but not Quebec.

Keysight is lazy and unfair to residents of certain states:
From Quara:
"Is the prize worth more than $5,000? If so, you'll need to register the sweepstakes in New York, Florida and Rhode Island (or prohibit their residents from entering). NY and FL also require that a bond be posted equal to the total value of the offered prizes."

I don't see any entry form at www.Keysight.com/find/dreambench (http://www.Keysight.com/find/dreambench). I did registration and I'm logged in. My country is listed in rules as eligible and it ends in December, so what's the problem? ???

Hi has anyone actually received there prizes from the keysite give away ? I received an email from mr Daniel Bogdanoff along with his number over 18 months ago saying I’d won and sent me paperwork regarding the win all I’ve had is email after email saying it’s running late. So has anyone else actually received the prizes? Thanks mal

You won something on the 2020 event and still haven't received the prize? I think so far no one who's won this year's Dave's pick draw has received their prize either. I believe someone from the complete bench contest from this year has receved theirs, didn't know people from last year have yet to receive their prizes. Seems like we'll be waiting a long time. Oh well, not much more to do but to be patient \$\Omega\$

I got a letter and nice fancy ruler from Keysight a few months back acknowledging the delay. I'm just about to change addresses too, hopefully, I'll get an email or some tracking info when/if it is sent so that I can redirect it to its proper home! :)

I got the same letter and ruler. I wonder how much longer it will take to get a new update. Since they aren't making any money on sending the giveaway prizes, i'm sure it's not a priority, but it seems there is stock on mouser at least of the multimeter, power suppy and function generator released last year, so hopefully they'll be able to spare enough of those to send the giveaway prizes soon
