And I thought my "lab bench power supply" consisting of an old ATX PSU with some hacked binding posts was pretty neat

I'm in!
Interesting - I'm in too. How does 100V and 6A equal 40W? It can't so it must be a switching output, e.g. buck converter. So why then go to the expense / weight of a linear transformer? Then again there were many taps / windings so perhaps it is indeed linear with windings selected depending on voltage. So, how exactly does it work?

I could use one of these. Thanks.
No idea if I have done 20 posts. Trying to regain my lost electronics knowledge and set up a half decent test bench, I'll put my hand in the pot and see what I pull out
As an Amateur Radio Operator I'm always on the look out for a reliable steady power supply for testing and powering my radios.
Thanks for such opportunity
ONCE ONLY!

I'm rather low on my posting count - I hope my rather quiet nature does not hit me again and the threshold is rather flexible?
ONCE and ONCE ONLY
I don't know if I qualify enough for this giveaway since I was kind of offline for a while.
All the best for you and your family,
Erik
Sure, betting for ~ 1/400 of a nice German power supply...
Please count me in for a decent PSU, from a chilly KZN South Coast in South Africa.

Nice review and teardown.
Greetings from Belgium.
I would really like to win this PSU … unfortunately I do not have enough posts on the forum … BUT I am a long time Dave’s youtube channels subscriber and I have seen tons and tons of Dave’s videos since many years !!! A first POST is a great event ... So, I hope Dave will accept my participation for this Giveaway ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
