Hi Dave and Dave 2 !

Here is my quick video. (UPDATE: I have just edited my video and added a bit on the end to show a few examples of what I do to fill up the spare time).

I would like this scope for testing, repairs and comparisons for use on my own electronics based channel, to allow me better and more detailed testing options along with higher resolution, my current MSO scope is only a 100MHz, the extra bandwidth would be helpful!

I do a lot of electronics repairs in my videos, sometimes using the MSO functions, but sometimes I am limited by my scopes bandwidth and feature set, or the number of logic analyser channels. Having more testing options will allow me to go into more detail in some of my videos, which should in turn benefit the people that watch me doing this stuff. I actually purchase items especially to do repair videos on them!

I have so many projects completed (hundreds of them), or in progress (feels like hundreds of them), just look at my video back catalogue.

Thanks for the opportunity !

Hi,
I'm embedding my entry right here below.

It was quite tricky keeping it under two minutes but I just about managed!
The background story is simplified A LOT to fit into the two minutes.

Slowly I'm getting back on my feet, so I can continue helping people in need, due to struggling economy, with free troubleshooting and repairs =)

Hi DaveĀ²

This is my entry for the Rohde & Schwarz Oscilloscope, Sorry about the video i'm a very nervous person.
I'm an electrons student here in Durban South Africa, I'm 20 and electronics has always been one of my passions.
Bit on a tight budget at the moment i can only work so much. Most of the stuff i have collected has either been given to me
or salvaged.
Winning an oscilloscope would really help with my home projects, i have some any ideas but i don't have the tools, I've
been using my multi meter to view duty cycles and frequency when playing with SMP's.

Thank you for this chance to win.

Hi Dave, hello to all EEVBlog members.

I'm Iuliu, from UK I'm a electronic repairs technician. I made this video to show my test equipment, including my 50Mghz scope, and i could use your nice giveaway scope in my home lab for troubleshooting the laptops digital pcb's,  chasing for faulty signals (going to rabbit hole with proper guns) in an eficient way using all of those 4 inputs and the use of logic analyzer which for debuging it's one of the most requested tasks . An oscilloscope would really help with my  projects but i don't have the tools to rich those high speds measurments  ,im using PIC microcontrolers and need the check signals at the outputs of it to make sure it does what it's designed to do .
I do reverse engenering for many electronic devices and most of the time a fine scope like Rohde & Schwarz RTB2004  with put me in a 7th haven on haking the devices , especialy this day the manufacturer doesn't release the schematics.
Cheers Dave,Dave II  !
Best luck to everyone !
Please check my video  :)

Hello Dev, my name is Damo. I run a Laptop Service Centre at the heart of city Kathmandu. The April 2015 devastating earth quake took many lives and business here in this city. After couple of years the business is slowly catching up. I have a CRO Aplab 15 Mhz but this nanalog scope is too premitive to handle the signals of advance laptops and Notebooks. I am sorry that video was just over a minute. But after I load it to Youtube it still got shorter, but the theme remais that i need a better Ocilloscope.

I am not in a position to afford a digital Oscilloscope the reason I am writing this to Dev.
Thanks to you Dev and your team.
Damo, Kathmandu.

Hi all,

I am Thomas, as 23 year old Computer Science student from the Netherlands. My vid is below (sorry was quiet nervous and had to give the camera back to my friend haha).
Anyway, I love working on electronic projects when I am not busy studying. Have been working on a project that is in desperate need of a scope, but it is way too expensive for me.
But I am sure that some people here are in much greater need of such a good scope.

Love your stuff Dave! Bye!

Edit:
And yes: I did clean up a bit before posting this video. This is also where I study so I make sure everything is pretty neat most of the time (and also my bedroom) ;-)

Hi everyone,

My name is Nicky, i am a 26 years old freshly graduated with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. I am a DIY'er , RC hobbyist and tinkerer. I've been putting off the purchase of a scope for quite some time now, and this is a great opportunity to participate in this giveaway. My next project will be a battery powered BLDC drive for models and robots, which i am eager to work on with a trusty-crusty oscilloscope. You can find my video down below.

Thanks,
Nicky

Hi everyone!

The mixed-signal capability of this oscilloscope will be of great help in my current project, which will be my final university project in 2018!

P.D: Video is a little bit wobbly and my English is terrible hahaha.

Hi Dave,
So why should I win? I have no idea, but here I go. I have completed my advance degree in Power Systems, minoring In Power Electronics. I left school with a large debt and a family to provide for, while this does not say why I should be chosen, it leads to my second paragraph.
I would like to repair the equipments in my video so I can start sharing my knowledge as you do through youtube channel. With this scope I would be able to troubleshoot and repair these equipment aiding aspiring engineers to do the same. I would also be able to share my knowledge of Power Electronics through design projects in the future. Giving back to the same cause; aiding others in their pursuit of knowledge thus empowering them.
Thank you.
