I am a youngster and my name is Brett.I just turned 13 years old. When I grow up I want to be a EE just like you.I have built a frequency generator, but I can't measure the frequency because I can't afford to buy a oscilloscope.I have been dreaming of owning a oscilloscope for about 3 years.I have been trying to safe up the money to buy one,but it seems like it will take forever. My lab is in my small bedroom closet. The only lab equipment I have is a cheap multimeter and power supply.I have made quite a bit of projects including a tesla coil, flashlight, radio receiver, and some other things. I would really really appreciate if you would donate it to me,and I would take excellent care of it.This is my video which is a tour of my lab thank you

here is my submission, I am an electronics tech at a secondhand store, where I repair and test electronics that are donated, as well as do security and IT. I am also a ham radio operator, a general electronics experimenter, and just an all around geek interested in everything from vintage phones to computers/hacking/networking, etc. I could really use a new scope, as my current one is only 20 meg, and seen better days!

Thanks for your consideration!

if i were home i would have shown my lab aka a huge messy conglermeration of disassembled electronics that exists between my room and my barn

Dave I just realized the excess in my video must voice that if we're at home which I'm not and can't be right now and unsure if I will be I'm deeply yearning to give you an honest video of my "lab" I only wish I home so I can show off my collection of ancient history tv tubes that I wish I could create many a cool amplifiers with . that I enjoy the challenge of attempting to construct Science equipment you would usually find in a university .there is a really cool atomic resolution capable STM microscope project by I think Dan Beard and I wish I could show you my robotic arm and collection of CRT boards

I'm 17 years old and I'm a Seinor in high school in IL U.S.A and I have been taking apart and fixing electronics since I was around 4 and been building and designing projects since I was in the 3rd grade (built a 555 timer keyboard from aluminum tape and pots!). One of the things that makes me stand out from many collectors and tinkerers alike is that I have Autism, High Functioning Autism though, but It none the-less had an effect on my learning. It made me take apart stuff and well basically it made me figure out how everything everywhere worked because I looked everything up and researched the H3LL out of it when I found something interesting. Enugh waffleing! Where's my soldering iron!  :-/O

A wire without ohms is a short, but a wire with ohms is a resister.

Hi Dave! I love how you give back to the community with all your marvelous dumpster finds!

I am an Electrical Engineering student (Senior) at the University of Texas at Dallas. I would love to make use of the oscilloscope in trying to start up a business designing electronic components for the automotive aftermarket. I am close to releasing my first product on my website (DJTuning.com) that uses the common esp8266 and atmega328p. A working oscilliscope would have been an immense help when setting up the timings on my custom communication protocol between the esp8266 and atmega328p. I am working on building a car from scratch and an oscilloscope would really help me out on building all of the electronics for it. (I plan on making every electronic system myself). Also my birthday was yesterday so this would be a great birthday gift.

Thankyou for considering me for the give away,
Daniel Johnson

Thank you for giving all of us the opportunity to win a scope. I'm sure there is a lot of that could use it. I'm trying to learn electronics, along with get my kids into the hobby. The scope would fill a void, by providing the missing tool I need to continue moving forward with circuit design and further understanding wave forms. I'm currently stuck with building my 10a power supply, there is to much noise and I cant pin point it. Im also learning electronics repair and diagnostic.
Again thank you for so much knowledge and information have a good day.

Hi Dave and Dave 2,

Thank you for the chance to win this.  We are currently in the process of building our first home and will have a good size workshop/electronics Lab.  I am currently not working as I am a full-time carer for my partner who is unwell.  This means on a very tight budget and would love to get some gear to full my lab.  The only test equipment I currently have is a home made DDS Function generator a assortment of DMM's including some old analogue vintage gear.  I am also currently building my own lab power supply.  I would love any gear you can through my way.  I am getting more into digital electronics now and Arduino projects.  I have been wanting to get a decent scope for some years now, but never had the money for it.  This would really help a lot with my current and future projects.

Here's my entry. I'm an empty nester who finally has the time and the means to work on some fun projects. I also enjoy producing YouTube videos in the hopes of encouraging others to give it a try. I tried to get one of those DSO 138 kits working but it is just way to flaky. I really enjoy the videos where you call BS on the EV Roadway and other stupid stuff.

Dave,

Long time follower (Twitter and here) but only recently subscribed.

I love to design stuff, and I love competitive radio direction finding.
Since moving to Sydney, I left behind the world's best RDF community
in Melbourne, where I competed in the Asia-Pacific Champs in 2011.

I'm trying to help the local ham radio community get started building
fox transmitters and directional receivers (sniffers) and running events
with local scout groups, to get people excited about home-built gear.
I publish almost all of my designs completely free on Github or my
website.

To develop in the best DF band (144-148MHz) I need a better oscilloscope
than my 20MHz dual-trace. The Rohde and Schwarz would be perfect tool
to help me contribute!

Here's my video!

Hello,

I've been waiting for an opportunity like this for a while now. I am from the US of A, and I am attempting to build my very own CNC machine. I have gathered parts from various dumpster dives, taking apart old printers and paper shredders, along with some ordered parts. The last bit that I have to figure out is the spindle motor, an AC induction motor. I have no oscilloscopes to use in order to create or modify a controller for this motor, so this raffle is perfect for this project. Thank you for your consideration, and have a wonderful day!

Hi Dave, i'm 12 years old and there is no chance i can buy that oscilloscope with my pocket money, i started electronics 2-3 years ago and i finally found a chance to get an oscilloscope, an oscilloscope is like a fortune to me!! its 10 times greater than an iphone7plus!! i need an oscilloscope so much, its a great equipment for testing and measurement, oscilloscope is the meaning of the life.... i mean, the meaning of circuits! a circuit doesn't mean anything is you don't understand it, it doesn't mean anything if you can't see the waveform, the frequency, and all of those other parameters. btw i've  been watching your youtube videos for a year but i didn't use the forum alot

here is my video below

i'm sorry for poor video quality, i understand english but i don't speak very well

Hi Dave,

My names Liam I am studying engineering at Griffith university in QLD. What I couldn't mention in the video due to time constraints is that I am saving money currently to start a pretty ambitious project. I am going to try build my own quad copter from scratch using the arduino platform and various sensors. Anyway in the video I show how I've been studying for exams using the arduino as a cheap and terrible O'scope and how I could use one if given the opportunity anyway if I lose the competition I guess it's because I'm from Queensland and you know we are about to beat you in the state of origin  :-DD

Long time fan of the EEVBlog, first time forum user!

Just a quick write up about myself, I am an embedded system developer specializing in data communications and real-time systems. Going to school for Electrical and Computer Engineering, I have recently taken up some payload FPGA HDL design work for our physics department at WVU.

I believe I could make great use of the RTB2004 and its mixed domain abilities in the upcoming projects I have! It would be an awesome scope for me to pursue FPGA and DSP development outside of work and school and start having more fun...

Some other sound and DSP work that I do for fun on the side, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAP8yOCg-BtZ7FfrASh_J-fpkGAjsy_Uj

Thank you for your Generosity and Consideration!

-Matt

Hello

First of all I'm sorry for my bad English and my poor filming quality as you can see I am not used to record video and I can't explaine very well what I want to say.

I am Matthias Hendrickx (16y) I live in Belgium (that explains my English) and I'm studying electronics I have just done my 4th year of electronics and I am going to my 5th year :D , now I make things with arduino such as temperature meters and controlling LCD's and more.

I would like that scope because I love electronics, it would be very handy for school project's and for the project's that i make home, now I'm making my project's all ways with arduino but I would like to start my future project's with the hardware stuff such as IC, transistors, ,... .

Your video's inspire me a lot and i learn every time from your video's.

Thanks for giving me and all of use a chance to get something from your awesome dumpster ;D  .

Greetings
Matthias from Belgium

Hi, Dave.
I'm Jorge from Lima-Perú. Here's my registration video :D.
I'm a electronic engineering student. Here, in Perú, Scopes are really hard to find. Most of the unis, don't sell or give for "free" their scopes. Digitals are expensive too!!
As a student, an scope could help me with my uni and personal projects in the future, specially with audio. I love everything releated with audio. Thanks for this big oportunity. Hope I win.

Greetings!
