Hello Dave,

We are two young Electronic Engineers with the passion about electronics.
As you can see we don't like too much to use commercial boards, because we can make our own boards.  ;D
About one month ago, our WELEC oscilloscope suddenly stopped working. We cannot effort a new one, so some times we used the one at work but it wasn't convenient for our home projects.
This is a nice opportunity for us, we can take care of the oscilloscope if we will have it.
Here is our short video in the following link, please watch it especially the last 30 seconds:
https://youtu.be/w0wrWxgOHdY

The following link is our debug board project on hackaday,

Best regards,
Atika, Saimon

Hi, Dave. Thank you for the giveaway.  :-+

This is my entry video:

There is not too much to say for only 2 minutes. Anyway. It was easy before. Most of the electronics have been made with analogue circuitry with opamps, tubes, transistors, class AB or H amplifiers, linear power supplies... These days most of the devices I have repaired have digital parts - a switching power supply, DSPs, USB capabilities etc..
I trust to my intuition and experience to fix them. With up to 30Mhz scope I'm blind in this digital world. So a modern digital scope is a must be on the bench. If I win it I will use it almost every day for my work.

Good luck everyone and thanks for the giveaway :)

EDIT:
This is the website with the devices I make http://n-audio.net/

Hello Everyone,
my Name is Jakob, I'm 16 years old and live in Germany. This is not only my entry for the competition but also my first post on the forum.

Our group relies heavily on donations and this scope would really help us out a lot.
Thank you very much Dave for not only hosting this giveaway but also for making all the awesome videos. I'm really enjoying them and especially the "fundamentals friday" series.

Hi Dave,
I am 18yo student of secondary school of electrical engineering. Only measuring tool I have is multimeter and cheap oscilloscope kit, which is broken nowadays. Proper oscilloscope is too expensive for my budget and as we know, life without an oscilloscope is not a true life. :D Thanks for the possibility for getting one.

I am amused by the creativity of all the other videos on this scope entry  :-D
Thank you so much to Dave and to all people who make this website wonderful !

Story behind the video :

I actually got some oscilloscopes from local dumpters, however, one of them is faulty... the story begins...

Hi Dave and David!

I won't say more here as I think I've given you 'my vibe' in the vid.  I would have loved to go into more detail about our projects, but two minutes sure isn't long!

Cheers guys :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm a student at Faculty of Electrical Engineering (http://www.fer.unizg.hr/en) pursuing Master Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering.
I desperately need to build My own lab with signal generator, scope in range 5ns rise time, 100MSPS logic analyzer.
I wasn't taking some projects involving ultrasound because I don't have equipment.
I've looking at some cost effective solutions, ether really cheap or great value for the price. One of them was Rohde&Schwarz HMO1072, HMO1102, but out of my price range :-/. Ten something more affordable and cost effective like Analog Discovery, Some PicoTech products, RedPitaya, and so on. It's realy hard to get affordable digital scope (except Rigol 1052E, which has it's own drawbacks).

Thank you for the chance to win this great scope!

This is my participation in the giveaway. I am 20 years old, studying electrical engineering and computer science in Greece. In this video, I show you some of my projects I've worked on (bike light, Digital variable voltage regulator, EEPROM programmer, 8-bit computer) I am also working on wireless communication between Arduinos in order to make an external sensor for my Smart Home weather station where I will also use/need a good oscilloscope to analyse the signals and debug my circuits. I hope you liked my lab and be reassured that this oscilloscope will be in good use in my lab.

Dear Dave,

Hello, I am Vivek Mathema from Thailand, I have been your regular viewer in EEVBLOG. I am currently doing a research in cancer cell and I would love to study the use of per-defined electrical pulses on cancer cells.  Professionally, I am not electrical engineer and my budget is very limited but with my deep enthusiasm towards electronics I do manage to make a few electronic gadgets whenever possible.

As a student, I cannot afford to buy even an entry level oscilloscope because anything over 100 us$ is out of my reach. In desperation, I did one tried once to utilize cheap DSO138 Oscilloscope kit, but it didn’t work well and I couldn’t figure out what’s wrong. Finally, I made an Arduino-based Poor man’s oscilloscope which has very limited functionality. Basically, It’s a portable oscilloscope powered by arduino uno with a touch screen, a built-in Li-Pol cell, a Li-Pol charger circuit, a voltage booster and a voltage divider module which allows me to measure up to 25 volts of DC input as opposed to traditional 5 volt limit in most Arduinos. However, anything above 1 KHz signal it’s very difficult and virtually impossible to measure with any clarity and precision. I was planning to make a gadget (in a crude terms) which would read a sensor measurement (e.g. CO2 gas level) from a cell culture and feed-in appropriate pulse of square wave signal as output and study the effect of the Pulse on cell growth by later measuring viability. However, I am quite stuck in my project as I do not have Oscilloscope (or funding to buy one) to measure quality of my output signal so I cannot adjust my signal as well. I do plan to use amplifier ICs/circuit to amplify output pulse strength on the output once I have oscilloscope. In Thailand, we don’t even have eBAY so that I could not buy a cheap second hand Oscilloscope as well.
========

Here’s a quick 2 min Video I made: (Main Video for the GIVEAWAY)

Youtube link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDLq8SHWdRQ] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDLq8SHWdRQ

(Sorry that I had to speak fast to limit video within 2 min and the quality of video is not very good)

I do had attached few pictures of my oscilloscope and prototype gadget too. please check it out

======
As you calmed, EEVBLOG is for anyone from a Professional in electronics to a Hobbyist like me, I hope I do have a chance to make my dream come true by winning this GIVEAWAY…Honestly, it means a lot to me.

Even though, I lack any funding and I am struggling myself for a living, I do love to contribute something to the internet and to others like me. In this quest, I do have barely managed to register myself in Google Play Store and made Software related to Graphs, Waves and also a crude Arbitrary Sine wave Generator for Android Mobile devices. I have given it for FREE (Absolutely NO adds, NO any in-apps purchases) to everyone. I did manage to check the quality of my software output tone/wave on few devices but It would be nice if I had my own nice oscilloscope to check the arbitrary waveform. I would gladly make more advance and accurate software (freeware)in future if I had access to my own Oscilloscope. Hence, in this context, your Giveaway would be a great asset for me.

Here is the youtube link of my crude Arbitrary Signal generator App
========
VIDEO LINK ( extra video regarding the software, optional )
Link:

MX Arbitrary Wave Generator (Google Play store)

Google Play store App link:  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.MXArbigen.www&hl=en

I do had attached a picture of my app screenshot too. please check it out

========
In addition, I have also acknowledged you (with all your web links) and others as my inspiration for my arbitrary waveform software development.

Dear Dave, I am willing to accept all your terms and conditions for the GIVEAWAY, and I recently came to know that there is no any restriction on the import of the parcel (including Oscilloscope) from Australia to Thailand.

Hope, you take interest on my sincere and honest request.

Thank you Dave & EEVBLOG community.
