Does anyone ever attend the https://www.hardwarepioneers.com/ events?  It's basically funded by China, the idea being to connect people with a dodgy ;) IoT idea to manufacturing in China...

They have them in a number of places... London for example but also more exotic ones...

https://www.hardwarepioneers.com/2019-events/london/talks/building-smarter-iot-products-with-edge-ai is on in 1hr... and I'm about to head there... to try and pick up some Mouser merch... particularly like their laser pointer pens.  :)

It does not seem to me to be very popular. But it is interesting to learn in more detail about their ideas and goals. Thanks for the info anyway. China is now actively expanding its development.
