And really, what is the minimum wage in Greece, crisis or not, 700 euros or so?
Per week, or?

My first salary was about 25$, as a full engineer
For what amount of time?

My first salary about 12 years ago was around 35-40$ in today's money.  Back then the average salary was about 120-200$, now the average salary here is about 250-400$.

I was 17 years old before the last year of highschool, worked for a month in a shoe factory placing shoes in boxes, boxes in crates, crates in trucks etc etc ... so I was basically a packer with no qualifications.
I actually got paid more than the workers in the warehouse, because while they had bigger wages, they also paid taxes and fees for retirement, health insurance, union fees etc etc

Nowadays my monthly salary I pay to myself (I work as a freelancer) is in the tens of hundreds of dollars range..

Everything is per month, as I assume most (all?) of the figures quoted in this thread are. And of course for full 8h/day+1-2h lunch break (which wasn't usually a break). And that was in fact good because Saturday used to be a working day as well not that long ago!

A cardboard box? you were lucky, we had to sleep in the middle of the road. Get up at the crack of dawn, walk for 21 hours to get to school, where we'd be caned all day, gruel for lunch. Walk 21 hours home. ...

Pff, we used to walk at least double that, barefoot in snow, uphill, both ways.

But seriously, everyone coming from a former communist country will understand that this is exactly the truth. Luckily, most of them have chosen to ignore the OP complaints.

I live in Greece i have no money a crappy soldering iron (that plugs into the wall socket) no multimeter , no oscillosope, and not even a helping tool for soldering.
Please i need to win some stuff because i am a student and i cant afford anything because of the crappy economy here.

My biggest strides in personal development were always made when I had the least to work with.
