Wow! Electronic contest with $6,000 prize!
« on: April 25, 2025, 06:14:01 am »
Hi! I'm a senior Electrical Engineering student always looking to level up my skills. I enjoy following engaging YouTube channels (like EEVBlog, best channel!) or exploring DIY project websites.

I found that participating in contests is also a good way to improve and show my skills
 —— 2nd Electronic Design Contest. https://www.elecrow.com/2nd-electronics-design-contest.html

Support Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP... projects, many creative ideas. I participated last year and I will continue this year. I think it is great!

Plus there are $6,000, maker boards, and official sponsorship

And there's "AI & Open Hardware" Contest running too. https://www.elecrow.com/ai-open-hardware-contest.html

Looks like spam, smells like spam, but $6K prize so not reported.

I was merely trying to share something I thought others might find valuable. I shared this because I saw ‘Contests’ here. My intention is not to disturb you with spam. Sorry, I apologize if it seemed otherwise.

All one had to do to see it is not spam, is lookup elecrow.com to see if it is legit, and then follow the link given in the first post.

Looks like a nice initiative to attract more business coming from a PCB manufacturer. Don't forget that other companies have done and do the same. Like Keysight for instance.

Understood and accepted.

However, the tone did make it sound like spam, e.g. "level up" and "prizes are wild". Such phrases are often associated with contestants bullshitting on "The Apprentice" :)
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Sign of the times. Kind of wasted on the old guard, but fits in with the buzzing social media. Not my thing for sure.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm trying to modify it.  ^-^

That's "buzzing" as in "a nasty droning sound that people learn to ignore" :)
