There are a number of dishes that can be significantly enhanced by adding suitable beer.
The most notable one to me is poronkäristys (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saut%C3%A9ed_reindeer) or sautéed reindeer, where half to equal weight in porter or stout to the meat will greatly enhance the flavours.
