Yuengling Hershey chocolate porter -- not for everyone
« on: November 10, 2022, 08:17:25 pm »
I saw it in the store today and was intrigued.  Thought it might be to Hershey chocolate about a close as chicken mole is.  I was wrong.  Not sweet like milk chocolate, but definitely Hershey.  People who like Stella Artois might enjoy it as a Holiday beverage.

Of course, this product evaluation only applies to people in the Yuengling distribution area.

And where is that?   Is that the same Yuengling that makes beer/lager?

Yes, it is the brewery that makes beer and lager by that name.  I particularly like its "Golden Pilsner."  Yuengling is one of the oldest American breweries.  Its home is Philadelphia.  Until relatively recently, its distribution was limited to the NE and northern mid-Atlantic states.  I believe it is still mostly that area, but not as far West as the Mississippi; although, it is expanding West.

Of course, Hershey, PA (a suburb of Harrisburg, PA's capital) is in that area, hence the connection to Hershey chocolates.
