https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1661063041/carwash-worlds-first-automatic-phone-cleaner/description
"The CARWASH Company has well-qualified personnel. The team is run by myself, a Business Administration student in Germany, as well as a Marketing student, and two lawyers to make sure we overcome and work through any business hurdles."
So a business student, a marketing student, two lawyers and no engineers. What could go wrong?

Why not just reapply a fresh layer oleophobic coating that will last for months?

Well, they say it's targeted at those that want luxurious gadgets. Those don't always have to be particularly useful, just interesting.
