DSLogic Pro: not recognized by software
« on: May 17, 2016, 01:04:53 pm »
So i've got a DSLogic Pro. Fairly good tool. But it stopped working.
Haven't used it in a while, but when i needed it this week, i plugged it in and the software did not recognize it.
Okay, so i went searching for the forums and found out that the device ID was forgotten.
The topic is here: http://www.dreamsourcelab.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=404

So i've searched the for the cypress tool and got it to mount on windows.
The cypress CY7C68013 mounts with NO EEPROM. With a lot of effort i managed to load software from their github repo onto the SRAM of the cypress part.
The device was recognized by DSView. (Normal, since the vendor and device ID where correct now).
But, the software was not able to communicate to the device further.
After replugging the device went back to the cypress standard vendor / product id.

Anyone has had the same issue? I'm a bit afraid i need to reprogram the FPGA.
The how, i don't really know why it has lost the non volatile info. But i'm trying to get this thing working again..
Any help is welcome!

-- As for the mounting of no EEPROM, i read on the development board for the CY7C68013 that there needs to be a pin at high or low. Maybe forcing this pin on the other state, and mounting it, will allow me to set the CY7C68013 in EEPROM state.
