« on: June 03, 2014, 04:36:59 pm »
Hey guys, we are crowdfunding our project.
An autopilot shield for Raspberry Pi.
You can do a lot of neat stuff with it like IMU, RTK GPS, Servo control.

Navio features:
MPU9250 - 9DOF IMU
MS5611  - Barometric pressure sensor
U-blox NEO7-M / NEO6-T - GPS
PCA9685 - 13xPWM for servo control
ADS1115  - 4xADC
PPM/S.Bus input
DF13 SPI, UART, I2C
RGB led

You can find more info at:
Our blog: http://emlid.com/blog
And IGG: http://igg.me/at/navio/x/7174749

What is your opinion on the project?

Looks good, I've backed it for use with my new Hummingboard (also on order) to try in a little RC Plane project  :-+

The Pi (or alternative) will need a Real-Time kernel for this kind of use, and as for the software for controlling whatever RC vehicle this is in, that could be interesting - maybe a fork of ArduPilot would do it with a few modifications? (there is already a Linux fork designed to run on the BeagleBone, and several kernel modules/drivers for sensors similar to those used with NAVIO).

Anyway, looking forward to having a play around with this! :P
