***I know, I know, I just signed up and now I'm Raising money. But I was subscribed to the EEVBlog Channel and I do actually watch them***
Anyway....

Some friends and I run an technology and engineering club at our high school, Brookfield East, in Brookfield, Wisconsin (USA).
It's a really cool club, lots of nerdy people. We work on all types of projects, from hacking to fixing to modding to exploding.

Well we have no source of money for tools, parts, supplies etc. We have some cool ideas in store for the coming year, so we decided to try out kick starter. We just launched it, and now we are advertising across the web!

I suggest you look at starting a FIRST robotics team.
It sounds like the kind of thing you want to do, and there are many companies that will sponsor your team because they already recognize FIRST.

You'll still have a lot of work to do organizing the whole thing and finding those companies, so you might as well get started now.
