His first Kickstarter: Educational DIY Metal Detector
« on: December 18, 2014, 02:51:27 am »
A friend and fellow hackerspace member has listed his first Kickstarter project.

He started at National Semiconductor and most recently worked at Parallax helping to layout the silicon for the new Propeller II 8 core microcontroller.

He has been published in Nuts and Volts and is working on an article for Servo Magazine.

I would appreciate if you would at least take a look at his project, and if you feel so inclined pledge a little money.

Thank you for your time.

I really like this. It's cheap and sounds like a fun project to tinker with. Shame you need to be in the U.S. to order one :( I would have liked to grab a couple of them to build with my niece and nephew.

Surely the schematic package could be delivered electronically anywhere in the world?  I can understand not doing the kits and having to deal with export documentation etc.

I appreciate the interest, and I know he will too.

I emailed him about the Schematic Package, and it appears he has removed the US Only.
Thanks, CanadianAvenger, for pointing that out.
