Title: DeltaMaker 3D Printer
Post by: alabamaguy123 on November 13, 2013, 03:18:19 am
DeltaMaker (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/deltamaker/deltamaker-an-elegant-3d-printer-0 (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/deltamaker/deltamaker-an-elegant-3d-printer-0)) is a 3D printer project on KickStarter.  It was funded in Feb 2013 and was described as shipping in June 2013.  As of November 2013 there are signs of unrest among the backers who expected shipment months ago.

This seems like another project begun by well-intentioned but inexperienced engineers who are learning the hard way about how delivering the goods is not as easy as it they thought.  Now, the creators are being accused by some of their KickStarter backers of not being forthcoming about project updates and realistic schedules.

Probably not an intentional scam but but its delivery has been delayed for almost as long as the infamous Mu Thermal Imager.  I guess once you take your backers' money, it's hard to go back to them and admit you aren't up to the task.
