I actually prefer the island, but the access seems to be the problem. Is there any possibility you can privately fund the construction of a bridge to connect it to the mainland?

Edit: now I see the biggest problem with the island. It is very far away from Sydney. Flying a plane there from Sydney seems very expensive and I don't think your typical 4 seat Cessna can take the trip. But if you're talking about taking the trip from the local airport to the island then it's feasible, a simple Cessna 172 can do it if you have a good airstrip at the island.

Also, why don't you contact Hack-a-Day and the other media? Also, if you manage to make it to the news it would be legendary.
