You are aware that CE is a self-certification? You put the logo on your devices because you claim that they fulfill certain EU regulations (EMC, electrical safety etc.).
Besides: do you need a built-in fire extinguisher for a hotplate just because something could burn that you put on it? Of course not.

Anyway, eBay is full of Chinese CO2 laser cutters (without CE signs or with fake ones) for a few hundred Euros, so $2400 seems pretty expensive.
With 19% VAT this would be like 2k5€ which equals about five Chinese laser cutters.

I saw one of their ad-video on tested.com. It looked OK, feature and price-wise although I am not going to run to buy one. I was wondering if there is something even in the ballpark comparable to this?
I mean a laser cutter, engraver with an easy to use user interface, nice, closed design, built in camera and stuff. Becasue all the cutters I've seen looked like they are just bits and pieces thrown together from an item profile catalog.

This is so dumb. Apparently anything is a 3D printer now, including CO2 laser engravers that have been around for decades.

The resolution looks absolutely terrible in their demo videos.

I thought they had at least made a very consumer-friendly laser engraver, but that doesn't seem to be the case. No internal cooling or filtration. No automated layer stacking, which might actually make it reasonable to call a "3D printer." You would be much better off just buying a chinese tabletop engraver, which can be had for $1000 delivered.

Can anyone explain to me, why the CO2 laser tube on top looks so dark at 4:21 in video above, while the wood is clearly cut at the bottom?

Normal laser tube has distinct violett-pinkish-red glow in it when operated:
