Hi guys,

We just launched on kickstarter, and I'm interested in finding out what you guys think.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mopusworks/tweeq-micro-sized-arduino-compatible-platform-and

The cores are based on the PIC32MX1 and MX2 microcontrollers.

Any feedback / immediate reaction to what you see would be insightful.
And word of mouth of course. Any support in any form would be wonderful at this point.

Thank you so much for your time!

Looks interesting and well thought out.

Is the micro capable of ICD programming (i.e. using a debug cable rather than bootloader)?

Hi dunkemhigh,

Thank you so much for your kind words. :)

Yes, it is. Check out the breadboard image for an example of how we connect the ICSP adapter when flashing the chipkit bootloader into the cores using an ICD3.

The pins on the board to board connector as well as the IO breakout are intentionally arranged such that GND,3.3V,MCLR,PGC,PGD are all next to each other for those who are comfortable with using ICD/PICKit programmers.

wow, they are small! are you using the 50mhz MX170/270? or the 40mhz 150/250?

Hi BloodyCactus,

Thanks for asking!

We're using both.
Most of the cores are using the MX150/250 which are capable of running at 50Mhz, but we've set it to run at 40Mhz by default. If the extra speed is required, it's just a matter of changing the bootloader version on avr-dude.

The PROTO:CAM core which is aimed at vision applications, comes with the MX170 44Pin at 50Mhz.

Cheers

I got some hands-on with the prototype. Nice stuff! Why not send Dave a kit with big red letter on the envelop saying "Pls open ASAP"  :-DD
These deserve some publicity.
