This is a simple snap on lens to your existing smartphone. I have one that I use with my iPhone 5s and it helps a lot for SMD troubleshooting and it is a good deal for the bucks

These are taken with iCROS UNI and an iPad so if you have a device with a a better camera you will get better shots

Image quality looks pretty bad if I'm honest. How much did this cost?

I occasionally use something similar called the Easy Macro, which has a plastic lens mounted on an elastic strap.

The advantage is that the one magnifier will work on almost any phone or tablet device, potentially even in a case, unlike the many models of the iCROS.
You can also double the Easy Macro up to get extra magnification - but of course the image quality will suffer somewhat.
