Hallelujah! Some technical data was released:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yuansong84/ifind-the-worlds-first-battery-free-item-locating/posts/862285

Hopefully it finally makes backers happy. All they need to do is to carry their favorite  WiFi device with them and blow +10dBm into their iFind tag every time it needs a recharge. Yah man, +10dBm, backers can safely forget about harvesting ambient energy.

Lol - when the only things you can find are going to be a few feet from you wireless router you kinda already know where they are....

Might as well stick some iFind tags on the solar hexagons and track them when they get stolen  :-DD

patent pending[/i]!!!

Sure it is....for a rectangle with rounded corners. It appears one of the backers (a Chinese guy) found on some other forum in China that a co-founder of this company, also a Chinese guy, admitted on that forum the technology is nothing new and this campaign is just about creating a marketing hype. So chances are the patent(s) ,if exist, are of a utility/industrial design type, i.e. form and shape of the plastic case and its biodegradability  :D
