or in this case they most likely will be adding the foil during the bonding stage so it sits between the 2 walls of the outside of the wallet, theoretically this leaves a small gap but still lives up to its name,

All you need is a sheet or ring of copper or ali foil, or a credit-card sized piece of thin copperclad PCB material. RFID works via the magnetic field, and a solid conductor will introduce enough eddy-current loss to prevent data transfer.
A faraday cage is NOT what's required- this protects against electrostatic fields.
