Inkplate 6 | Crowd Supply
« on: May 02, 2022, 10:29:26 pm »
I purchased this E paper project from Crowd Supply last year. I didn't see it mentioned in the forum so I thought I would post.
Here is their blurb:

Built on ESP32 & programmable with Arduino IDE or MicroPython
A powerful, Wi-Fi enabled ESP32 microcontroller makes this six-inch e-paper display – recycled from a Kindle e-reader – incredibly easy to control. Just plug in a USB cable, open Arduino IDE, and change the contents of the screen with few lines of code.

The cost is $109 to $129 dollars.

I've used it for a B/W photo frame and Weather Viewer (where I modified their example).  They have plenty of examples.
I like the way black and white photographs look on this device.

The placement of the ESP32 and subsequent lack of clearance around the antenna is pretty bad on the original Inkplate 6, but it looks like they fixed that on the 6plus and all later models.
