A book on "how to succeed at kickstarter" fails to reach it's funding goal!

So what happens now, do the backers get a refund or is the author getting his money and does not even have to write a book, how does this work (could have used the book)  :-DD

It's Kickstarter. The target wasn't met, so no one gets charged.

He is considered extremely successful at Kickstarter because his triggertrap raised 3 times its goal.

Two things spring to mind:
- Apparently it does not matter if the product is successful or good, the benchmark is only if you were able to raise money for it. (Surely this is con-man's heaven ? )
- Did the uCurrent not clock in at x12? You should write that book Dave, you are much more qualified. (I would not back such a type of book though, not even from you)
