Arduino UNO Compatible Board Supports Higher Current Demands
« on: December 19, 2015, 09:12:45 pm »
The objective of the NerO a board is to deal with the fundamental drawbacks of the widely-used Arduino UNO R3 and, by utilizing a crowdfunding platform, get the engineering community involved right from the very beginning. Thanks to the energy efficient switching regulator incorporated into NerO, it is capable of supplying a full 1A with its temperature being well below 100°C at maximum load. This Arduino UNO R3 compatible board covers an input voltage of 7V to 20V. Unit pricing is $19.75, but backers will get a 25% discount.

Fixed that for you: "The objective of the NerO ..." is to get the maker community to trust FTDI USB UARTs again after #FTDIgate.

However if, after the campaign FTDI is willing to maintain a public list of manufacturers and retailers selling NerOs made exclusively with genuine 'virgin' FTDI and Atmel chips, it would be a *GOOD* *THING*.

BOYCOTT FTDI

No more crappy astroturfing, no more copying a device and adding restrictions to it. Your Arduino clone should explode in the CEOs faces.

^^^ Yeah, what he said! ^^^

Plus, I hope FTDI management get ocular super herpes mixed with ultra AIDS!!!11
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic; e.g., Cheez Whiz, Hot Dogs and RF.
