Makerarm - Jack of all trades, master of none ?

Claims 1 thou repeatability with 1kg load capacity - seems rather optimistic IMO.
As for being a viable pick/place machine  :-DD :-DD
Still might be useful for some things, and a lot simpler than a conventional robot arm.
The selective soldering demo is a bit of a joke - PCB held in place by 2 croc clips!
And why would you bother dicking about with wifi for something like this that needs to be screwed down?
I predict some disappointment....

Youtube channel:Taking wierd stuff apart. Very apart.
Mike's Electric Stuff: High voltage, vintage electronics etc.
Day Job: Mostly LEDs

That design is pretty slick though...  :o
But hey, if it isn't viable, then there's no use. Looks like it's easily going to meet its goal, though.

Damn forgot to put the feeder toolhead , now my goldfish has been soldered  |O
That P&P head is ridiculous, that red pipe will knock everything already placed above a few mm across the board.

I don't have a lot of confidence in the machined surface having a decent finish.
It looks a little too spindly to do accurate drilling and milling.
