3D printing them is not the best path.

Some don't have 3D printers and 3D printing services are expensive.

Yes, it would be nice to have a parametric openscad  model on  thingiverse.

Apparently these products are already available on Tindie ("shipping within 1 day") so this kickstarter campaign is just a marketing thing, not a new product.

@jancumps Yes. It's a nice idea, but to be honest I could knock a version up in OpenSCAD in about 15 minutes. No reason not to sell them to those who can't make their own though, if there's demand.

+1 on not 3D printing it's just going to be more expensive to manufacture.

Also have you thought on adding locking slots on the sides so you can put a bunch together?

Can you make one side have a notch and the other a tab so we can click these together ?
On the backside : can you make a LEGO like structure so we can click these onto a mounting plate ?

That way i do t have to mess with i dividual little blocks. I can snap together a number of these into a strip. If i need to work on something else all stays neatly together. I can take the strip and put it aside.

If it clicks onto a back plate it is even better.

I want several colors for each. That way i can make setups :
Purple for capacitors , grey for transistor, black for ic's , brown  for resistors , yellow for leds yellow led, red for red led blue for blue led green for ,.. You know. 


On the backing plate : make a nice flat surface so we can put on little stickers , post-tabs, to write the value down that is in that tray.


Find some commercially available cheap paper sricker and design for that one. Look at the catalogue from avery. Those are available worldwide and are cheap and even printable in laser and inkjet printers.

Damn, this is a good idea !

Make at least 8 colors.
