I would never dare to put 600V AC or 750V DC trough this:

The classic no protection multimeter!

I find it interesting that a COB IC was used - must be a demo board floating around.

Maybe an ISL7106 COB clone removed from a harbor freight multimeter.

look closely, it's a cut down PCB, they likely salvaged it from a DMM.

Yeah that was my thought, in fact the Harbor Freight ones based on the DT830 $5 meter have gold plated pads surrounding the chip on board, with the majority being the LCD drive pins.

I like how rapidly the measurement settles and how that Android app looks nothing like a Fluke multimeter.

It's blue - bears no resemblance whatsoever!

Also, I thought  skeuomorphism died out.
