Robot Dragonfly

I've had a heavy suspicion of this one ever since I saw it announced with lots of fanfare and heavy "multi level" flavoring.
Lots of claims from authority and double-talk. Such as, "If they have funding from the air force, WTF are you doing on Indiegogo?"

What do you guys think?

Oh, and the thing that really made me sit up and take notice was the claimed option to "select from multiple [fanciful] wing designs."
As if ornithopter-type flying machine engineering is not hideously difficult enough, they just make the shape of the wings out to be some sort of fashion statement.

They raised 10 times their target, but no video of flying prototypes shown for an estimated delivery in July.  For a quad wing ornithopter. 

Yeah... don't like the backers' chances on this one.

This is legit, look those guys up. Not to mention 2 wing dragonfly chinese toys were already on the market 7 years ago.

Imagine launching an Indiegogo campaign, reaching your funding goal, raising enough money for a manufacturing run (or whatever), then suddenly half of the funds are frozen with no indication of when (or if) they will be returned. You no longer have the minimum funding required to proceed with manufacturing and the project is put on hold

why dont just run manufacturing for half the backers instead of mourning it cant be done?

I received emails asking me to upload the documents, however uploading was not actually possible through their system. I asked them about this, and they gave me a fax number instead (who has a fax?). I informed them I don’t have a fax, and finally they gave me an email address to send the documents. I was on a flight at the time and by the time I actually read this email (24 hours after it was sent), my account was limited. That’s game over

Mourning Muttle BS! are you on flight for the whole week? cant you find a retail with fax for rent?

and you only mourn after 1-3 years of campaign closing?
