I was backing
, because i thought ineeded a tablet w. a mobile OS that wasn't controlled by Governments.
It was my first Crowdfunding , and probably also my last.
Thanx Jolla for the experience

Well, if it's any consolation, I met the Jolla guys at the Qt World Summit a couple of weeks ago. Their tablets seemed pretty slick, beautiful hardware, and the software ran smoothly too. So at least it's not total vaporware, they did actually build their tablet. But as for their chances of financial success? Always seemed rather slim to me. I mean, if Microsoft can't break into that market with all the money it has thrown at it (or BlackBerry), how's a tiny start up going to manage that?
As for crowd funding, I encourage you to not give up on it... just maybe think about the chances of success with the projects you pick. So far, I've supported 5 projects on kickstarter, and only one of those hasn't delivered. And some of the other projects, Star Trek Continues and Dreamfall Chapters in particular, just wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Still, success isn't guaranteed, you therefore shouldn't think of it as buying a product, but instead of investing in something that wouldn't be possible otherwise.
