As a radio guy I find this project really interesting.  It came in 3rd place in the HACK-A-DAY Contest that Dave was a judge for.

And its great he is selling kits, because us ham radio guys love to build our radio gear.

Thanks for letting us know.  I signed up for the kit.  But, it doesn't look like he is going to make his goal. He is only at $41K out of $60K with only 4 days to go.

I can see why he isn't getting many backers. IMHO it is a very niche product at a high price. I want one but I am not going to jump in at this late date.

What would you use something like this for? I mean, over other equipment.
Perhaps because other equipment that does these kinds of things costs 10x to 100x more?

The project is fantastic.  But yeah, for me it's just too darn expensive.
Chinglish poetry: In the hot summer. In the car ran full steam. It tastes strange. For this worry? With this fan will bring you a cool summer. Suitable for all kinds of cars. Agricultural vehicles. Van. Tricycle.

It indeed looks like a very interesting project. And I notice it was successfully funded a few minutes ago, so will be interesting to see what comes out of it. :)
