What do you guys think? I think their product can work as advertised, but it's about 5 - 10 times too expensive to be practical at all.

Also, in their promo video at 1:10, is it just me or does it sound like he's saying "We created a product that is ready to be produced, and shit!".

Not only are these blinds too expensive for what they do, the average house does not have enough windows to reduce your power bill by 70% like they claim.

Add in the fact there is no batteries included to do a power time shift so that is an extra cost. No all places let you sell back electric to them and the one that do require you to use an expensive converter that will stay in sync with the grid. As for using it directly, in most places summer is the only time when demand peaks at the same time as production -Opps, I just realize the when the sun is high and overheating your house is just the time when your VERTICAL windows will not get peak power.

This idea is a waste of good solar cells.
