Title: Text fonts gone awry?
Post by: djacobow on February 07, 2019, 04:49:35 am

I use Diptrace to make boards where aesthetics sometimes matter.

I've been using TrueType fonts on the silkscreen and sometime on the mask layers to make "silver" text and it works great.

Recently I upgraded to 3.x and also moved to a newly built PC. Now the Truetype fonts look really bad and pixelated but the built-in vector font is still fine. I'm not sure which change caused this. Has anyone else observed this?

Okay, on more experimenting, it looks like the graphics mode matters. In windows GDI mode, it's fine. In OpenGL or Direct3D, they look really bad.

I tried exporter gerbers and they look fine (and the same) regardless of graphics mode. So I guess this just a display issue.

Still weird.
