"Carbon-based noise dissipation" does not work well with heavy metal music, filtering out all that white or pink noise.
What, you don't replace your power cable based on the music you listen to? Some people have no class AT ALL.
Let me guess, you also leave it on the floor and don't buy these power cable holders with spiked legs to avoid vibrations.

 ;) <-Poe's law.
Before buying used equipment I enquire about what music was played on it before.
An amplifier that used to play rock and roll is practically useless for classical music as all the components will have adjusted for rock.

I was thinking about those speaker jumpers some more, ans as far as marketing these jumpers, I'm a little surprised at the poor construction quality.

I think this is deliberate. This stuff is not coming out of an anonymous mass production factory, but is rather assembled by the proverbial "nude greybearded virgins".  :-/O
The "artisanal" look is a big part of the delusion i think.

I wonder if whoever designed that at the time was thinking about handsets and drums.
