Another water from the air technology, but on a grand scale.

:palm: Seriously, they say you'll sequester enough water from the air to water trees & shrubs around the facility to help keep the humidity up so you can extract that water from the air....

when you live in empty quarter you'll crave for this technology, esp when the dajjal (antichrist) is coming, opps did i just say that?

Do not misunderstand me, I know you can get water out of the air through de-humidification, but when the say to use the water to water some plants to raise the humidity so the de-humidifcation can work?  Aren't they just messing with us?

Besides the non-proven claims from the whole marketing balderdash:

The wind generators are too close together to be running efficiently and when setting up a roof structure primarily to serve as carrier for solar panels, why not build it for maximum yield angle??

I am guessing no engineer has been involved in this "project" and it being just one of those »design concepts«: This is why it is hard to be taken serious as a product designer.  :palm:

i guess you are much more clever than engineers assigned for the design and installation ;) how much efficient the shooting angle of camera for the ads animation if the turbines are kilometers away apart?

At that point why not just drill a well and use that energy to power the pumps.  You'll get WAY more water.

Sure, it is just a marketing mock-up. Anyway I hate this kind of story telling aproach. I call it "lies for kids": telling a fancy, oversimplified story with a lot of falsehoods rather than an acurate story, because more people will think they understand what is going on.

Anyone have an estimate on how much buzz and investors (and grants) you'll get these days for actually proposing a viable and realizable tech over these connected-green-digital-quantum-wireless technology of the future?

There is so many things wrong with this, I'm not even sure where to begin.
First, its in a desert. Space is not a premium, mount those panels on the ground level, at the right angle.
Second, when I see fans operated in dusty environments, all I can think of, how much the lifetime of those fans will be, and how often do you need to clean the radiators.

but then you will need unnecessary extra "passive" roof to shade everything in the premise. and what right angle if sun goes from right to left in a day?

Second, when I see fans operated in dusty environments, all I can think of, how much the lifetime of those fans will be, and how often do you need to clean the radiators.
then make walls you genius. how much fun is the animation if all you see is a dull walls?

you can tell kids about every electrons involved, relativity theories and all, they'll just get back to their gaming tablet with no interest. thats how we educate kids (or investors) to gain interest, by telling over-simplified story. let the details to the on-site engineers., some informations are proprietary though no matter how much you are looking for the truth...

That's the infuriating part.  Seems investors only want to invest in something "new and cool sounding" vs something tried and tested.   You'll never get investors to invest in a boring old solar farm because it's been done before, but put the solar panels on the road and have people drive on them and the government will be giving you grants 6 ways to Sunday because it's new and innovative!

My windowsill must be really high tech then because every morning there is a puddle of fresh water on it from the windows above  :o

So I've got an idea.

Hear me out.

Suppose you've got a great idea, technically sound, but it's not raising much money.

With that money, hire a "design" firm to make something tasty for investors.

With a new crop of funding in, go make the original thing.

When you're done, just tell all the investors: "we're sorry you didn't get the thing that we knew was impossible from the get-go, so here, have some affordable, renewable water, oh and by the way here's your dividend that you'll never get from the other thing, cheers!"

"Vaporware"  :-DD :-DD :-DD
Nice one :)

I got a better athmospheric water generator :

You can control it using a few dumpings of chemicals in the sky :
