In a recent Northridge Fix video while he was advertising his new short detection special power supply he said the reason he had to design a new one was because he used to use the third channel on his fancy Rigol bench power supply for voltage injection and burnt it out.
https://youtu.be/kzcg5S8mAOM?t=330The third channel only supports 5 volts, so of course it is not designed for high current short detection with a thermal camera. He should have just used channel 1 or 2, they will be made for the full watt rating.
Also almost all of the devices Northridge Fix puts their branding on are just drop-shipped unbranded devices from China. You can usually find the same device on Ali Express for less than half the price. Not saying they are bad, but they aren't Rigol.
