Well, if you work in noisy and dusty area they may be quite nice compared to a usual respirator and ear protectors.

They look silly and uncomfortable.

Do they meet any safety standards, for personal protective equipment?

I don't know, but he's on a tube train. A wearer wouldn't be short of gaining the attention they desired, perhaps not in they way they wanted at £750 a pop.

I used to think Airpods looked silly, but they're no longer the head turners they once were, but these seem to be on another level.

Yes, they look like something out of "Captain Video".
Yes, they are probably uncomfortable, although maybe not as uncomfortable as they look.
Yes, they are really expensive.
However, I see no reason to assume they won't work for their intended purpose, and I can see use cases based on my experience in bad environments.

I guess I just see no reason to assume that they would work any better than a combination of proper, separate items designed and selected for the purpose.

Do they meet any safety standards, for personal protective equipment?
Good question.

Last but not least, this product is simply two years too late to the market and nothing can change that :-DD

Well if they work, why not. This looks useful. If again this works. Compared to many other shit that pops up with no other purpose than burning cash and being hype.

Dyson makes expensive and overengineered stuff, but it usually works. I don't have a problem with that.

I guess they prevent needing exact sealing by overpressure/airflow, I don't see why that shouldn't work as well or better as seals with equivalent filters but I'm not sure they could get it certified.

It might seem quiet to the person wearing it, but does it sound like a vacuum cleaner to everyone else around? :o

Dyson are a bit late here. If they'd done this three years ago, they would've sold loads when the pandemic kicked off.
