Government boondoggle at Dave's Land
« on: January 03, 2025, 03:24:26 am »
Check out this government boondoggle right at the heart of the Dave's Land: Generate electricity by walking on the squeaky pads at Sydney Grand Central Train Station. Yeah, surely this will power trains and lights and will heat and cool the entire city, right? Just need a bit more funding for research and the sustainable power generation problem is solved forever.

Picture was taken about 2 weeks ago.

Extra bonus: credentials popup glitch over the display, asking for auth.

I would deliberately bypass them just in case they actually work.

No matter what you do, you can not avoid enslavement. Every-time you pay insurance, say car insurance you are being enslaved by car thieves, bad drivers and insurance scammers. Same with taxes, you are working for "the man". Welfare cheats both foreign born and domestic and other various government parasites have you doing their bidding.

These will actually work, the same as  the "electric freakin speed bumps." But the problem with the speed bumps is they are literally robbing your car of energy taking it out of your fuel tank or battery. Walking pads would be taking your energy out of the food you eat. Though they wouldn't generate much power from each step.

Maybe they should call it exercise equipment?

I wonder how long it will be before someone walks across these in stiletto heels, falls and breaks a leg. I suppose that will be an insurance claim and another $50 million grant for a re-design.

Trains are inherently grounded.  Couldn't they put down cheap nylon carpet and use the static electricity generated to charge the train's batteries when they get on board?

I think I remember Dave Jones referring to it has "human generators" in one of his videos.

Yeah, "works" is not the same thing as "works economically". The latter variant is what matters, not just the former - which is what Dave passionately explained in many videos. Sticking two metals into a potato also "works" but does not make sense economically.

There are some stationary fitness exercise bikes that generate electricity to charge a phone. Still, this is more of a gimmick as they are way more expensive than a normal fitness bike, and the generated electricity will never cover the price difference.

Install those things in gyms, where people come to release energy on purpose. Put it in punching bags, you know, in weight lifting pads, and stuff. And harvest free energy all day long.
Now please excuse me, I go file a patent for the idea.

Thomas Edison installed a small turnstile in his lab that would pump water up to a rooftop tank when visitors pushed through it.

This article addresses the whole thing of "The Power of Unwitting Workers".
