New super battery. It even has Graphene in it.

Coming from Aussie-land to you - maybe, but not soon.

I wonder why they don't have a deal with a large customer yet. Maybe, but only maybe, they are not the best, safest, fastest charging [insert more BS here] batteries, even if their CEO states so?

ConKbot:
Wow, experimental coin-cells. A step up from extrapolating from the performance of a test-tube cell like most batteries in "new break through (x) charges (Y) times faster than lithium ion. EV's/Phones could charge in (Z) minutes" type articles.

JohnnyMalaria:
Absolutely no mention of the cost comparison to produce the final cell and the cost of the production technology at full scale. Smacks of academia naivety.

MIS42N:
The science seems sound. Producing the graphene might be expensive but that seems to be the only barrier to commercialisation. I remember when white LEDs were experimental, had a lifetime of 1 hour before they self destructed. The main barrier is the problems Australians have bringing good technology to market. Hopefully they partner with people who are better at it.

penfold:
What's dodgy about it?

I'd take exception to calling most academics naive, most of the ones I worked with were just downright malicious in thinking they had the hardest job in the process!
